The Energy Council of South Africa joins the prestigious World Energy Council

PRESS STATEMENT BY JAMES MACKAY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AT THE ENERGY COUNCIL
The Energy Council of South Africa, Minerals Council South Africa, Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA), Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), the South African Petroleum Industry Association (SAPIA) and Energy Intensive Users Group (EIUG) are jointly proposing improvements to the Carbon Tax proposals of the Taxation Laws Amendment Bill (TLAB).
Today, the Energy Council of South Africa was launched by founding members from across the energy value chain, both public and private. The Council will play a leading and collaborative role in the development and transition of the country’s energy sector.
